This past Sat., Jan. 21st, residents of the Bronx, as did inhabitants of all the city, enjoyed the year’s first snowfall, with a crisp cold to match.  

Many families took to nearby parks to amuse themselves, making snow angels and castles.

And while some took flight off small slopes with makeshift sleds, others chased each other to lob snowballs in the air.

Whatever their recreation of choice, all were glad to revel in the season’s first snowfall, as can be seen here at Poe Park on the Grand Concourse.

Nieve, por un momento

Este pasado sábado, 21 de enero,  los habitantes del Bronx, igual que todos de la ciudad, vivieron la primera nevada del año con un mínimo de ºF 27.

En los parques se veía a las familias divirtiéndose, realizando muñecos y castillos de nieve. Mientras que los pequeños gozaban de un deslizador sobre alguna pequeña colima, otros corrían esquivando las bolas de nieve que sus amigos les aventaban.

Así es como los vecinos aprovecharon el clima para hacer estas actividades recreativas, en lugares como Poe Park en el ‘Grand Concourse.’
